The Film Society in conjunction with Godalming Town Council and CareUK, has supported the establishment of Godalming Relaxed Cinema Club (GRCC) to show films in the Wilfrid Noyce Centre.
The purpose of GRCC is to enable those living with Dementia or Autism, and other film lovers with physical conditions unable to access cinema in the local multiplex, to watch films on a large screen in an environment that suits them.
GRCC is run entirely by volunteers and free to join. Members are provided with a programme of upcoming films and both members and their guests are welcome to attend screenings free of charge. Those that attend may make donations to help cover costs. We use the main hall of the Wilfrid Noyce Centre in Godalming courtesy of the Town Council. The films all start at 2:15pm with the doors open from 1:30pm.
