Members of Rotary in Godalming have teamed up with the local Film Society and Godalming Town Council to restart “Relaxed Cinema in Godalming”. Our communities have lots of people of all ages who cannot go to the local multiplex to enjoy films on a big screen. They may have conditions such as Dementia, Autism, Epilepsy and so on but they also enjoy film, especially musical films.
Having started our Relaxed Cinema screenings in 2018, our programme was interrupted by COVID but we were able to start again in Godalming’s Wilfrid Noyce Centre with a glorious screening of Mamma Mia. An audience of 60 spanning all ages had great fun with much singing along, bringing joy to everyone and much relief to the carers.
